青鱼、草鱼、白鲢、鳙是我国上千年来培育出来的、可以在池塘中混养的高产品种,是我国重要的淡水养殖鱼类,被称作四大家鱼。在唐朝以前,鲤鱼是最广泛养殖的鱼,但因“鲤”与唐朝皇帝的“李”姓同音,鲤鱼被禁捕禁吃,迫使人们培育出新的养殖品种——四大家鱼。
The herring, grass carp, silver carp and bighead carp, which are cultivated in China for thousands of years and can be mixed in ponds, are important freshwater cultured fish in China and are called as four major domestic fish. Before the Tang Dynasty, the common carp was the most widely-grown fish, but the common carp was banned because of the homonym of “Li” and the emperor’s “Li” in the Tang Dynasty, forcing people to breed new species of breeding - Four fish.
