徐悲鸿(1895—1953),原名徐寿康,江苏宜兴人。中国现代画家,美术教育家。曾留学法国学习两画,回国后长期从事美术教育,先后任教于国立中央大学艺术系、北平大学艺术学院和北平艺专。1949年后任中央美术学院院长。擅长人物、走兽、花鸟,主张现实主义绘画,强调国画改革融入西画技法,讲究绘画对象的形体把握,并注重作品的思想内涵,对当时的中国画坛影响甚大。与张书旂、柳子谷三人被称为画坛的“金陵三杰”。抗战时期(1937—1945)既是徐悲鸿艺术创作的鼎盛时期,也是他在艺术思想上和风格上高度成熟的时
Xu Beihong (1895-1953), formerly known as Xu Shoukang, Yixing, Jiangsu. Chinese modern painter, art educator. Have studied in France to learn two paintings, after returning to the long engaged in art education, has taught at the National Central University Department of Art, Peking University Art Institute and Peking Art College. After 1949, he was the dean of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is good at figures, beasts, flowers and birds, advocates realism painting, emphasizes the integration of traditional Chinese painting into Western painting techniques, emphasizes on the physical grasp of painting objects and focuses on the ideological connotation of works, which has a great influence on the Chinese painting circles at that time.
