On March 8, 2017, the delegates of the Fifth Session of the 12th NPC deliberated on the new draft General Provisions on Civil Law. For ordinary people, civil code is the declaration of the right to real life. This draft general principle of civil law follows the principle of the former General Principles of Civil Law and sets up a special chapter that stipulates the types and contents of civil rights including personal rights, property rights, intellectual property rights, and new types of civil rights such as online virtual property and data information. At the same time, after the third trial, the draft General Principles of Civil Law, on the whole, have become more and more manifest in the color of “the law of rights” and show the innovation and bright colors.
