The data for natural gamma ray logging of boreholes and mines have been automatically interpreted using a new digital analysis method. The purpose of this study was to accurately determine the horizontal thickness and radioactivity of radioactive formations. Simulations of the four major radioactive categories show that the Khneifiss and Al-Sharkieh mines in the Palmyra region of Syria are the vista of phosphate mines and radioactive materials.
