From September 1936 to the spring of 1937, under the advocacy of the Chinese Communists, the progressive ideology and culture only initiated a new Enlightenment. This movement is intertwined with the anti-Japanese national salvation movement and complements each other. It calls for a broad national awakening and the promotion of national rejuvenation, opening up a vast prospect for China’s new cultural construction.
