Foreign-invested enterprises in Guangdong Province (including Sino-foreign joint ventures, cooperative enterprises and wholly foreign-owned enterprises) have developed rapidly. By the end of 1988, 7377 enterprises had been registered and 2666 enterprises had started or put into production. Since the establishment of foreign-invested enterprises, the party committees at all levels have conscientiously strengthened their leadership over the party work of foreign-invested enterprises and the party organizations of foreign-invested enterprises have been proactive in carrying out their work.
