LT13 is a hard-to-deformable material that can be manufactured by controlling the conditions of rolling and heat treatment to produce thin sheets and foils, and sufficient crushing and dispersion of the coarse silicon phase in the alloy gives it unique properties that tend to be diffusion-softened and isotropically processed.
