泰山,融风景秀丽的神奇自然景观和神圣的历史人文景观于一体,是中国中华民族灿烂文化史的缩影。石刻艺术是了解中国历史文化的重要载体,自汉朝以后,历代帝王来此封禅祭祀,文人雅士纷至沓来,为泰山留下众多石碑石刻,诗词歌赋。因此,泰山的书法艺术以石刻形式在文化传播的过程中产生,保留并延续。泰山石刻内容丰富,造型美观,字体风格,种类繁多,可称之为中国书法艺术的天然展览。泰山石刻对深入研究泰山文化历史具有重要的学术指导意义。
