Germany and Japan plunged into recession again. The world’s second and third largest economies are again hindering rather than contributing to the overall increase in world demand. From the standpoint of Germany and Japan, the news is indeed frustrating. The rapid development of global technology should have made it easier to increase production and living standards, but this has been difficult to achieve in the German and Japanese economy over the past 15 years. Fifteen years ago, people’s expectations of the economies of both countries are certainly much better than they are now.
