我参加过六届人大,这次又参加七届人大。相比之下,感到这次会议的民主气氛要浓厚多了。主要表现有:过去在讨论各项议案时,往往是省市领导讲得多,我们基层代表讲得少。这一次是省市领导和基层代表都比较充分地发表意见。二是过去讲成绩、说好话的多,这一次不仅讲成绩,而且讲问题和困难,讲群众的要求和批评,简报、快报和新闻报导都能
I participated in the Sixth National People’s Congress, this time I participated in the Seventh National People’s Congress. In contrast, I feel the atmosphere of democracy in this meeting is much thicker. The main manifestations are as follows: In the past, when discussing various motions, leaders at the provincial and municipal levels often talked much about our grassroots representatives. This time, both provincial and municipal leaders and grassroots representatives fully expressed their opinions. Second, in the past, speaking of achievements and making more than one remark, this time we not only talked about accomplishments but also talked about problems and difficulties. We also talked about the demands and criticisms of the masses, briefings, newsletters and news reports
