中国稀土学会和中国科协联合主办的“国际稀土开发应用学术讨论会”于1985年9月10日～14日在北京召开。参加会议的有来自美国、日本、法国、瑞士、奥地利、澳大利亚、加拿大、英国、联邦德国、意大利、西班牙、荷兰、瑞典、比利时、巴西、苏联、保加利亚、捷克、朝鲜、印度、泰国、民主德国等22个国家的专家、教授121人和我国科学家、专家200余人。会上发表论文
China Rare Earth Society and China Association for Science and Technology co-sponsored the “International Rare Earth Development and Application Symposium” on September 10, 1985 to 14 held in Beijing. The participants came from the United States, Japan, France, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Federal Republic of Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Brazil, the Soviet Union, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, North Korea, India, Thailand, Other 22 experts and professors from 121 countries and over 200 scientists and experts from China.
