改革开放以来,中国与世界其他国家,特别是英语国家的交流日益频繁,越来越多的外国电影进入中国市场,成为文化交流的有效载体。作为电影必不可少的一部分并首先进入中国观众视线的电影片名,在宣传过程中扮演着重要角色。但一部电影的片名却往往会在大陆、台湾、香港被译成不同的版本,照成观众的误解。本文论述了在文化差异下大陆,香港,台湾的电影片名的翻译特色,并提出了几点翻译原则。
Since the reform and opening up, China has enjoyed frequent exchanges with other countries in the world, especially the English-speaking countries. More and more foreign films have entered the Chinese market and become effective vehicles for cultural exchanges. As an integral part of the movie and first of all the movie titles entering the Chinese audience’s eyes, playing an important role in the promotion process. However, the title of a movie is often translated into different versions in mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, which can be misunderstood by audiences. This article discusses the translation features of film titles in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan under the cultural differences and proposes some translation principles.
