SculyLamb theory is used to study the photon noise compression and its physical mechanism of V-type three-level laser. The results show that the system achieves 10% intracavitary compression and nearly 20% extracavitary compression. Although V-type systems have far less noise compression than Λ-type systems (nearly 50% intracavity and extracavity compression), V-type systems have the same noise compression mechanism as Λ-type systems
