Three diphosphinites were synthesized for preparing rhodium-diphosphinite complexes.The complexes were used for asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation of amino acid precursor α-acetamidocinnamic acid and its methyl ester. With all complexes, D-amino acid is the most abundant product. Three diphosphinites were synthesized for preparing rhodium-diphosphinite complexes.
