从外资保险公司进入市场以来,中国境内的保险公司从6家增加到目前的61家,其中,24家是中资,37家是外资,外资保险公司已占半数以上。外资在华保险公司总资产从1999年的44亿元增长到2003年的197.8亿元。目前,保险业对外开放城市已经增加到15个。对外开放促进了中国保险市场体系的建立与完善,外资保险公司已经成为中国保险体系的重要组成部分……
Since the entry of foreign-funded insurance companies into the market, the number of insurance companies in China has increased from 6 to 61, of which 24 are Chinese-funded and 37 are foreign-owned, while foreign-funded insurance companies account for more than half. The total assets of foreign-funded insurance companies in China increased from 4.4 billion yuan in 1999 to 19.78 billion yuan in 2003. At present, the insurance industry has opened up to 15 cities. Opening to the outside world has promoted the establishment and improvement of China’s insurance market system, and foreign-funded insurance companies have become an important part of China’s insurance system.
