Welcome to Einstein Welcomes Science In the 1920s, the German-born Jewish physicist Albert Einstein had founded General Relativity on the basis of special relativity. He asserted that space and time are curved in front of a large mass. In 1919, astronomer Eddington confirmed this through observational observations, and Einstein became the world’s best-known public figure overnight.
