对可编程序信号处理器进行了多年的研制之后,形成了一种称为公用信号处理器(common signal processor,简称CSP)的新概念。它真正能提供构形能力、模块化、可扩展性、可编程能力、支持能力,以及使信号处理器满足特定应用的功能、性能和可用性要求所必须的应用开发环境。CSP由军方开发的用于可编程信号处理器的第一个全VLSI组件系列组成。它采用开放式体系结构,在必要时可以增加新的模块,CSP是由俄亥俄州的空军怀特航空实验室(AFWAL)/AAT-2,怀特-帕特逊空军基地提出研制的(合同号F33615-84-C-1470)。
After years of development of programmable signal processors, a new concept called a common signal processor (CSP) has emerged. It really offers the application development environment necessary for form-ability, modularity, scalability, programmability, support capabilities, and the signal processor’s ability to meet the specific application’s features, performance and availability requirements. The CSP consists of the first family of VLSI components developed by the military for programmable signal processors. It employs an open architecture that allows for the addition of new modules if necessary. The CSP was developed by the Whitewash-Patterson Air Force Base AFWAL / AAT-2 Ohio (Contract No. F33615- 84-C-1470).
