我永远都不会忘记1965年7月,那个温暖的夏季的一天所发生的事。那天母亲因病永远离开了我们。那年母亲才36岁,还很年轻,我和父亲都悲伤欲绝。就在母亲去世的当天下午,一名警官来到我们家,他是代表医院来的,想征得父亲的同意,使用妈妈的眼角膜移植给一个失明的人。我简直震惊至极,不敢相信医生居然要把妈妈身体的一部分送给其他人使用。我放声大哭,跑进了我的房间。
I will never forget what happened on July 1965, the warm summer day. That day my mother left us forever because of illness. Mother was 36 years old that year, still very young, my father and I were sad. On the afternoon of the mother’s death, a police officer came to our house. He came to represent the hospital and wanted his father’s consent to transplant his mother’s cornea to a blind person. I was so shocked that I could not believe the doctor actually had to give part of her mother’s body to others. I burst into tears and ran into my room.
