最近,许多学者、新闻记者、经济团体和与亚洲有关的组织都在想“泛太平洋经济组织”这个概念,有关这个问题的讨论步伐已经加快,以致于它已成为一个重要的有魅力的亚洲问题。这个地区经济的迅速增长已引起西方的注意,而该地区经济发达的国家正试图把这一发展过程制度化。虽然“太平洋盆地共同体”的名声高起来,然而,这个概念已不是新的。虽然分析家们可以争论其确切的诞生时刻和合法的来源,但太平洋共同体这个题目的由来与发展可追溯到六十年代(中间经过许多变迁)。
Recently, many scholars, journalists, economic groups and organizations related to Asia are thinking of the concept of “Pan-Pacific Economic Organization” and discussions on this issue have been accelerated so that it has become an important and attractive Asian issues. The rapid economic growth in the region has drawn the attention of the West, and the economically developed countries in the region are trying to institutionalize this process of development. Although the reputation of the “Pacific Basin Community” is high, the concept is no longer new. Although analysts can argue their precise birth and legal origins, the origin and development of the Pacific Community can be traced back to the 1960s (through many changes in the middle).
