日本的一家工业研究所与福井大学等单位共同合作,开发出用废玻璃瓶粉碎后,制造混凝土砖块等建材产品的技术。该技术是将废弃带色玻璃瓶收回,进行破碎成5mm以下3种型号的玻璃砂。将玻璃砂与天然砂按比例掺混于水泥中,加工成挡土墙砖块和侧沟砖块等混凝土二次产品。玻璃碎片相互磨擦除掉棱角,制成球状,即使用手指触摸也不会刺伤。据说,这种再生建材砖块已在日本全国专卖经销。
