承受由建筑物基础传来荷载的土层,称为地基。地基的持力层是设计人员根据工程地质勘察报告中提出的承载力标准值和压缩模量确定的。它应满足两个基本要求:一是地基具有足够的强度,在房屋荷载作用下,不致因地基失稳而破坏;另一个是地基不能产生较大的变形,而影响到建筑物的使用功能和安全。由此可知,地基虽不是建筑物的组成部分,但它的好坏却直接影响到整个建筑物的安危和寿命。
The soil that bears the load from the foundation of the building is called the foundation.
