丝绸之路是古代中华文明与外部世界联系的一条重要人文纽带,大量域外作物随着丝绸之路的发展而被陆续引入。据统计,在中国现有的农作物(主要指大田作物、蔬菜和果树)中,至少有50余种来自国外。南京农业大学中华农业文明研究院博士刘启振介绍,汉唐及明朝是域外作物引进的两个高峰。汉唐时期,中国引入的农作物大多原产于西亚,也有部分源于地中海沿岸、非洲或者印度,它们大部分是通过陆上“丝绸之路”传入的。
The Silk Road is an important human link between the ancient Chinese civilization and the outside world. A large number of extra-territorial crops have been gradually introduced along with the development of the Silk Road. According to statistics, at least 50 species of crops in China (mainly field crops, vegetables and fruit trees) are from abroad. Nanjing Agricultural University, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Dr Liu Qizhen introduction, Han and Tang Dynasties and the Ming Dynasty is the introduction of extra-territorial crops of the two peaks. During the Han and Tang dynasties, most of the crops introduced by China came from West Asia and partly from the Mediterranean coast, Africa or India, mostly through land “Silk Road.”
