经过长时间的酝酿和筹备,2003中国长春国际雕塑大会于今年9月6日在新近建成开放的长春世界雕塑公园拉开大幕,这是世界雕塑大会首次在美国以外的国家举行,也是自1997至2001年连续举办了五届的长春国际雕塑展取得阶段性成果的一次汇总。 此次雕塑大会在雄厚的政府力量支持下,规模上堪称盛况空前,长春世界雕塑公园门前的一长排各色国旗昭示着本次大会对“国际化”、“多元化”的营造与追求;
After a long period of deliberation and preparation, the 2003 China Changchun International Sculpture Conference opened its curtain on the newly opened Changchun World Sculpture Park on September 6 this year. This is the first time that the World Sculpture Conference was held in a country outside the United States and also since 1997 In 2001, a series of five-phase Changchun International Sculpture Exhibition was held. The sculpture conference, supported by a strong government force, is unprecedented in scale. A long line of colored flags in front of the Changchun World Sculpture Park makes clear the construction and pursuit of “internationalization” and “diversification” of the conference. ;
