英国Plessey Allen Clark研究所演示了一种光纤传输系统——通过一根单模光纤和一只激光二极管进行双向同步数据传输。该系统传输原理如图所示。该方案的最大优点是不需在两端设置昂贵的光源,这种传输系统可用于用户电话和局內网络。
Plessey Allen Clark Institute in the United Kingdom demonstrated a fiber optic transmission system - a single-mode fiber and a laser diode for two-way simultaneous data transmission. The system transmission principle as shown. The biggest advantage of this solution is that it is not necessary to have expensive light sources at both ends. This transmission system can be used for both the user’s phone and the intra-office network.
