This paper points out the limitations of the trapezoidal body formula, truncated wedge body formula and truncated cone formula which are widely used in the calculation of reserves. According to the geometric characteristics of the straight section between parallel sections, the general formula for calculating the volume of such nuggets is Parabolic formula.
