Holter monitor (DCG) is a method that allows continuous ECG recording for long periods of time while the patient is active. This method is pioneered by the United States Holter. In 1957, the electrocardiogram and radio technology were combined into a telemetry electrocardiograph in an attempt to get rid of the limitation of the procedure and to record the electrocardiogram of the patient during a certain range. However, this method is limited by the launch distance, recorded graphics are often subject to baseline drift, EMG interference and so on. Later, Holter switched to the patient electrocardiogram with a mini-tape drive and replayed the tape onto the oscilloscope to display the ECG waveform, which is currently used by the DCG, hence the Holter monitor. This test is used to diagnose arrhythmias and ischemic heart disease. Monitoring equipment: DCG consists of three parts: 1. Tape recorders; 2. Electro-Scan Analyzer; 3. Reporter.
