稀土是镧系15种元素及与之化学性质相似的钪、钇元素的统称,是一种来源广泛,使用方便,用量少,成本低的复合微量元素肥料。70—80年代,湖南、湖北等地部分柑桔产区相继开展稀土在柑桔上的应用研究工作,证明在柑桔萌芽、现蕾、开花、谢花,幼果膨大期喷施稀土2—3次,可明显提高座果率,果实着色普遍提早,果实总糖及固形物含量也有不同程度提高(罗艺生等,1983年中国柑桔第4期),甚至在柑桔贮藏上也有较好的防腐保鲜效果(张秀菊等,1688年中国柑桔第4期),湖南邵东县1983年在柑桔上大面极喷施稀土推广近万亩,也取得了很好的成效,可见,稀土在农业生产上应用很有潜力,我们于1987—1989年采用河南省商丘市稀土微肥示范厂生产的硝酸稀土,在本所温州蜜柑园中进行试验,现将试验情况初报如下:
