湖北省西部山区鹤峰、来凤两个土家族自治县,曾经是第二次国内革命战争时期著名湘鄂边苏区的中心。贺龙元帅和跟随他的许多老红军亲切地称她为“第二故乡”。去年5月下旬自治县成立庆典时,贺帅的亲属和一些当年在这里战斗过、现任我军高级领导职务的老红军,有的专程祝贺,有的发贺电、贺词,由衷地祝愿“第二故乡”在党的民族政策光辉照耀下,在建设四化的新长
