南京图书馆所藏渔庄钓徒《心田记》杂剧钞本为海内孤本,其作者为吴人。该剧描写了生活在苏州社会底层的人们谋生之艰难,展示了晚清苏州经济生活中所出现的中人即经纪人现象。同时,该剧将“南杂剧”的艺术体制推向极端化,实践着作者讽劝世情的写实主义主张,并首次将丑脚折子戏发展为丑脚本戏,在古典戏曲发展史上有着特殊的意义。
