Africa is a continent rich in mineral resources;billions are invested into this sector annu-ally, with some countries relying heavily on their mining exports to fuel growth in their economy. As a major source of the world's diamond, gold and platinum reserves amongst others, Africa needs to develop and sustain this industry.
