老哈河是一条丘陵区游荡性河流，河道抗冲能力差，主流经常摆动改进，形成河道险工多，整治困难。多年来主要采用丁坝和沉枕护岸。丁坝多选用短丁坝，布置成丁坝群，丁坝间距可采用丁坝长度的２～３倍，丁坝群的坝头线应布置成一条与整治线相一致的凹岸曲线。沉枕是用杨柳枝、石块等材料束成圆柱状，直径０．６～１．０ｍ，长度５～１０ｍ。沉枕具有一定柔性，抗冲性能好，能适应河床变形。施工中可将多个沉枕用铅丝连接起来形成沉排，增加整体抗冲能力。
