Almost all scholars and practitioners think that three Chinese reporters witnessed the surrender ceremony of the Japanese troops on the Tokyo Bay US Missouri ship on September 2, 1945, namely, Zhu Qiping and Li Xiu-shi of Ta Kung Pao and Zeng Enbo from the Central News Agency. In fact, there are 8 Chinese journalists who witness the Japanese surrender in Missouri. In addition to the above three, there are Chen Bosheng, editor in chief of the Central News Agency, Song Dehe and Guan Zongshi, CNA reporters, and Liu Zunqi, an underground party member of the Chinese Communist Party. In addition, a film-shooting reporter, along with Chen Bosheng, Liu Zunqi and Guan Zongshi, arrived at Japan via Manila from Chongqing on invitation of General Wedemeyer.
