Yuan novels reveal how literary works construct the world they imagined and help us to realize that the reality in which we live every day is also constructed and written down. The deconstruction of metafiction not only helps novelists and readers to better understand the narrative structure of novels, but also provides a model for understanding the experience of the contemporary human world.
