Objective To compare the differences of cerebral perfusion in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and normal controls to explore the value of SPECT perfusion imaging in the clinical diagnosis of MCI. Methods SPECT brain perfusion imaging was performed in 20 cases of MCI patients and healthy controls. The images were processed with SPM5b software. The differences of cerebral blood perfusion between the two groups were compared by voxel. Results Compared with the normal aging control group, MCI patients had an asymmetric distribution of posterior cingulate gyrus, superior frontal gyrus, inferior frontal gyrus, apical lobe and apical lobule. Conclusion The changes of cerebral perfusion of SPECT in patients with MCI have certain characteristics and can be expected to be applied in the clinical diagnosis of MCI.
