In 143 cases of children with pneumonia were measured serum, plasma and erythrocyte zinc, copper, iron, calcium, magnesium and other five elements were compared. The result shows: 1. Serum and plasma zinc, iron, calcium levels were significantly lower serum copper levels were significantly increased; while the red blood cells in the five elements showed no significant difference. It is suggested that the metabolic regulation of low zinc, low iron and high copper in the blood of children with pneumonia conforms to the mechanism of “nutrition and immunity”. 2. The ratio of zinc to copper in serum, plasma and erythrocytes were significantly decreased, indicating that the change of zinc / copper ratio was better than that of zinc and copper. 3. Pneumonia group serum and plasma levels of five elements no difference, indicating that the two groups of test indicators can be universal.
