采用定位观测和多流域检测的方法,研究分析了尖峰岭热带林集水区水质及水质生态效应,41个检测集水区径流7.01≤pH<8.04的区域占81%,pH值随海拔高度增加而减小;DO≥6.0mg/L的占90%,随海拔高度增加而增加;BOD5≤3.0cm/L占90%,TDS≥11.1mg/L占98%,随海拔高度增加而减小,4项检测值为I类水质标准;热带山地雨林系统对雨水中水质项的有效功能为:径流中DO、pH、TDS、Mn浓度增加,BOD5、总N、总P浓度降低,热带原始山地雨林系统具有良好的水质净化效益。故实施原始林保护及扩大,对源头水保护、净化、林区居民身心健康是非常有益的。
