Academician Zou Chenglu, who returned to China from Cambridge University in 1951, has been based on the domestic and under quite difficult circumstances, still in protein structure and function, cytochrome and respiratory enzymes, irreversible inhibition of enzyme activity kinetics, enzyme activity The flexibility of the site, the folding of the nascent peptide chain and the molecular chaperone, and so on. Therefore, both won the first prize of the National Natural Science Award, the second prize of the National Natural Science Award and the Tan Kah Kee Life Science Award, He Liang He Li Science and Technology Achievement Award and other important awards many times. Why did he have so much creativity? What should we do to cultivate creativity? With these questions, since September 2002, I have visited Mr. Zou several times. A little surprising is that Mr. Zou does not particularly emphasize personal talent; more valued for his personal hard work, the fine tradition of the laboratory, the entire community independent thinking culture. In other words, genius is important, but more important is the cultivation of genius. In response to the request of the Journal of Scientific and Cultural Reviews and with the consent of Mr. Zou, part of the talk of Mr. Zou is as follows.
