岁末时分,中国戏曲学院、中共江苏省淮安市委、淮安市人民政府主办的著名戏曲教育家、京剧表演艺术家王瑶卿先生诞辰一百三十五周年纪念活动在北京举行,首都戏曲界代表相聚人民大会堂,缅怀王瑶卿先生为戏曲事业做出的卓越贡献。王瑶卿先生祖籍大运河里下河地区的江苏淮安清江浦,在明清时期,那里是一个交通便捷、商贸发达、人文荟萃的水旱码头,悠久的文化传统、繁荣的经济和发达的交通,促进了南北戏曲艺术在此交流与发展,使之成为徽班北上、山陕班南下、戏曲艺人随商船南来北往的必经之地,也形成了这一带平民
At the end of the year, the commemoration of the 135th anniversary of the birth of the famous opera educator and opera artist Wang Yaoqing of the Chinese Opera Academy, Huaian Municipal Committee of Jiangsu Province and Huai’an Municipal People’s Government, was held in Beijing.
