新课程标准对高中生物学实验教学提出了较高的要求,要求学生不仅要掌握生物学实验的基本操作技能,学会科学的观察、分类、测量、推论的方法,而且要求学生能预测实验结果、辨别控制变量、识别数量关系、识别时空关系、构建假设、解释数据,并在此基础上要求学生学习“设计实验”、“设计实验程序”、“评价实验设计和结论 ”。这从中可以看出对于高中生物学实验教学的要求,已经由初中生物学实验教学注重操作技能训练,转变为操作技能与思维技能
