Since the second half of 1989, two phenomena that have caused widespread concern in the economic and financial circles have emerged in China’s economic life: first, the decline in consumption, the slow-moving of commodities and the weak market; second, the deposits of residents have risen sharply and their savings have been firm. Some blamed the market’s weakness on the huge increase in savings deposits, believing that rising savings dampened consumption and led to a weak market. This article talk about the relationship between consumption, savings and the market and its countermeasures.
