The Japanese invaders in the painting vainly attempted to slaughter butterflies that symbolize the light but plunged into the vast sea of the Chinese people’s war of resistance. The battlefield in the liberated areas under the leadership of the Communist Party of China contained a total of 58% of the Japanese troops in China and dealt a heavy blow to the aggressors.
