刘炳森,字树庵,号海邨,幼年自号刘五先生。一九三七年八月出生于上海,祖籍天津武清。一九六二年夏毕业于北京艺术学院美术系,同年秋到北京故宫博物院从事古代法书绘画的临摹复制和研究工作至今。刘炳森教授是国内外著名的书法家和国画家,其母亲为他的启蒙老师,自小严格临帖学书,十一岁时便名扬乡里,十九岁时因其文采、书法超众,被当时研究书法的权威机构——中国书法研究社破格吸收为该社最年轻的社员。他的
