栝楼(Trichosanthes Kirilowii Maxim.)为葫芦科多年生草质藤木。主产山东、河南、云南、四川等地。9～11月果实成熟时采摘,置阴凉通风处晾干即为栝楼。将成熟的果实,剖开除去瓜瓤及种子,洗净、晒干即为栝楼皮。有润肺、滑肠的功能;主治痰热咳嗽、结胸、胸痹、便秘、乳痈。
Trichosanthes Kirilowii Maxim. Is a perennial grassy vine in Cucurbitaceae. The main producing Shandong, Henan, Yunnan, Sichuan and other places.
