最近,英特尔又向市场推出了新款芯片组产品。其中,i845E与i845D基本相同,只是加入了533MHz前端总线的支持;i845G/GL/GLL则加入了新的显示内核。在芯片组中集成显示内核,对于发烧友来说,是无法接受如此低性能的产品。然而,低端用户或商业用户却非常欢迎整合芯片组,它可以降低整机的售价,性能亦能满足一般的应用需求。此外,这个市场远比零售市场要大,难怪英特尔要不断升级3D内核,来适应市场的变化。毕竟以前的i740和i752显示内核的3D速度已经无法满足现有和未来的基本三维程序的需求,更新是必然之路。
