辽宁大石桥市武装部长刘继春严格遵守党纪国法,坚持廉洁奉公,千方百计维护党的形象,受到人们的称赞。1986年,武装部划归地方建制,武装部同志面临着新的考验。刘继春的亲友劝他为孩子就业着想,趁机转业到家庭所在的营口市老边区工作,有的告知可以安排为区公安局副局长。然而刘继春毕竟是刘继春,23年军旅生涯使他已经深深热爱上了武装工作,便在谢绝亲友们的好意之后,决定做一颗无条件服从组织安排的螺丝钉。
