北京市总工会从成立之初,就把活跃职工文化生活、提高职工文化素质作为重要职责之一。在各个历史阶段,市总工会担当起了引领社会文化发展的重任,围绕发展大局,利用自身优势,开展了形式多样的文化活动,为职工搭建了文艺的“大舞台”。1949年11月,市总工会筹委会举办了第一次全市工人文艺会演,全市各级工会纷纷组织职工参与,并开展了文艺节目巡回演出。1956年2月.全市313个基层单位参加了职工业余文艺会演,演员中有工人、工程技术人员、管理人员、教师、医务工作者等7000余人。
Since its founding, Beijing Federation of Trade Unions has put active staff cultural life and employee cultural quality into consideration as one of their important responsibilities. At all historical stages, the municipal general trade unions took the lead in leading the development of social culture. Around the overall development of the city, they took advantage of their own advantages and carried out various forms of cultural activities in order to build a “big stage” for the workers and staff. In November 1949, the Preparatory Committee of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions held the first performance of the workers’ literature and art society in the city. The trade unions at all levels in the city organized the participation of workers and staff members and conducted tour performances of the cultural programs. February 1956. The city’s 313 grass-roots units participated in the amateur art performances, workers, engineers, engineers, managers, teachers, medical workers and other more than 7,000 people.
