近些年来,随着商品经济的发展,人们眼光趋新,传统的节日风俗活动,在许多地方,或简化,或消失,渐渐地就会成为一种陈迹。在这种情况下,山东长岛县部分乡镇保存完好的端午节的节俗活动就特别引人注目。 长岛县有居民的海岛一共有10个。靠近山东半岛大陆的有5个岛,即南长山岛、北长山岛、庙岛、小黑山岛、大黑山岛,俗称“南五岛”;远在大海深处的也有5个岛,即砣矶岛、大钦岛、小钦岛、南隍城岛、北隍城岛,俗称“北五岛”。传统端午节的节事活动,在“南五岛”已大大简化,呈消失的趋势。在“北五岛”则基本保存完好。其中尤以大钦、小钦、北隍城三岛最为典型。人们十分重视节日活动,当地机关、企业、事业单位,也调整作息时间,尽量于这一天放假,要工作人员回家过节。 端午节日有两天,农历五月初一为“小端午”,好象是正节的序幕;五月五日俗称“大端午”,主要的节日活动都集中在这一天。 节日活动有多种形式,调查所得的有:
