As Hong Kong opened the Spring Auction in 2014, Sotheby’s Hong Kong, Poly Hong Kong and Hong Kong Guardian recorded a total auction turnover of RMB4.903 billion, up 57.65% over the same period of last year. At the same time, it produced 4 billion yuan worth of works and greatly boosted market confidence after the spring auction in mainland China started in May. On the whole, the auction market for cultural relics and art artworks in mainland China is still in an adjustment phase.
