美国白蛾是世界性检疫害虫。通过在辽宁省国营新民市苗圃进行的防治美国白蛾药效试验,结果表明:3.6%烟碱.苦参碱微囊悬浮剂1 600倍液7d后防治效果达到98%以上,具有高效、低毒、易降解、不污染环境等特点和触杀、胃毒、熏蒸性质,是新一代高效广谱环保杀虫剂,林间应用防治美国白蛾2～3龄幼虫时推荐稀释1 600倍。
