冯玉祥将军于一九四七年出国,旅美考察水利。一日参加某大会,被会场雪茄烟熏得头昏脑涨,归来作四言诗一首,痛斥抽烟之害。诗曰:

General Feng Yuxiang went abroad in 1947 to study the water conservancy projects in the United States. Participated in a meeting on the 1st, was dizzy cigar smoke at the venue, returned for a four-character poem, denounced the harm of smoking. The poem says:
